The third meeting of the International Blue Carbon Policy Working Group in Ecuador will bring together approximately 40 experts on climate change and coastal policy issues. Participants from Europe, Indonesia, Ghana, the United States, Brazil, Colombia, and Peru will meet with local experts and government officials to discuss Blue Carbon opportunities in Ecuador and Latin America.
This workshop will review policy developments and needs on Blue Carbon, particularly the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. A session focused on implementing Blue Carbon in Ecuador’s policy frameworks and management activities in the country’s high carbon regions.
